Types of Massages

In-home Massage
We make it convenient for you by bringing our professional specialty massage right to you. You'll be able to stay relaxed right in the comfort of your own home. Since the massage comes to you, you will decide where the best place to set up is. Make sure there is room for the therapist to set up the massage table and be able to walk around it.  If you have young children you may want to schedule during naptime or when someone else can watch your kids so you can enjoy a relaxing, uninterrupted massage. You control the atmosphere, temperature and music.

Deep Tissue
Deep Tissue massage focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles. It is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia and breaks down scar tissue and "knots" deep in the muscles. Deep tissue massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity, such as athletes, and patients who have sustained physical injury. Deep tissue massage can be an extremely intense experience, taking you right to the edge of your pain threshold for that "hurts so good" feeling without crossing it.

Swedish Massage
Swedish massage helps relieve tension and reduces stress, both emotional and physical. It affects the nerves, muscles, glands, and circulation, while promoting health and well-being. The main purpose of Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles. Techniques may include long strokes, kneading, friction, tapping, percussion, vibration, effleurage, and shaking motions. It is a light to medium pressure.

Prenatal Massage
Prenatal massage is beneficial and has many positive effects for most pregnant women. Unless directed to avoid massage by your doctor, consider relieving tension and improving your mood by getting a pregnancy massage. Prenatal massage can be a significant way for an expectant mother to relax, improve overall wellness and decrease back pain that is a common complaint of pregnancy.

Sports Massage
Sports massage is a form of bodywork geared toward participants in athletics. It is used to help prevent injuries, prepare for activity, maintain, condition and recover from workouts and injuries. Sports massage has three basic forms: pre-event massage, post-event massage, and maintenance massage.

Reflexology is the application of pressure to the feet and hands. Reflexology is generally relaxing and may be an effective way to alleviate stress.

Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST)
CST is a type of body work that relieves compression in the bones of the head, sacrum (a triangular bone in the lower back), and spinal column. CST is noninvasive. It uses gentle pressure on the head, neck and back to relieve the stress and pain caused by compression. It can, as a result, help to treat a number of conditions

Gua Sha
Gua Sha is a healing technique of traditional East Asian medicine. It is a natural alternative therapy that involves scraping your skin with a massage tool to improve your circulation.

Table Thai
Table Thai massage gives the client an opportunity to experience the benefits of Thai massage. It has all the elements of traditional Thai massage, including compressions, joint movements, muscle stretching, and balancing the energy. Use of the table limits some extreme yoga poses which require a wider space to execute the move. During the session the client wears loose clothes that allow free movement.
